Your day will begin with a boat safari in Madu Ganga River; which is a 900 hectares of area most of it’s covered with water and 64 small islands are situated here. Madu Ganga area is a mangrove forest that inhabitant for hundreds of flora and fauna species. You can explore these unique eco system very closely on the boat ride.
After the boat safari in Madu Ganga we will take you to turtle hatchery in Kosgoda close to Galle; in here you can see various kinds of sea turtles and thousands of baby turtles.

Then we will drive to Koggala with you to watch most picturesque scenery of Stilt Fisherman. It’s the scene of a fisherman sits on perched polls shallow water which create magnificent scene in the evening sunset. This visit will follow by a visit to fish market to see fisherman selling their daily catch on the beach near Galle town.
Finally we will take you to a world heritage site which has more than 500 years of history the “Galle Fort”. Galle fort was built by Portuguese in 16th century; enhanced by other colonial the Dutch and British respectively. In your visit you can see magnificent building with its old stone walls, the ramparts, Dutch colonial villas, the clock tower, the Old Dutch Hospital, Dutch period houses, the beautiful Dutch Reformed Church and the old Bread fruit tree. All of them are make this place looking countryside; it’s heart of busy Galle city but quiet and in front of the beautiful Indian Ocean.

Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Dambulla Cave Temple and Minneriya National Park Day Tour From Colombo

The day tour will begin with exploring a great creation of Sinhala King Kashyapa the Sigiriya Rock Fortress at 485 AD; the most famous and world heritage site in Sri Lanka. Stand out from plain ground of surrounding area Sigiriya Rock Fortress provide witness for the glory of ancient Sri Lanka with its paintings, boulder garden, water garden and ruined royal palace. Because of its wonderful creations the Sigiriya once declared as 8th wonder of the world.

Then we will drive with you to Dambulla Cave temple which is also a world heritage site also known as Dambulla Golden Temple. It’s another gigantic rock 160 meters above the surrounding land just like Sigiriya. This magnificent rock temple was built by King Walagamba at Anuradhpura era in 1 century BC. You can witnessing the glory of the sculpturing at Anuradhapura era; in cave 1 of temple there is statue denoting Pirinivan Manchakaya of Lord Buddha. There are marvelously painted frescoes can be seen in the ceiling; they are showing the life story of Lord Buddha and Sinhalese history. In cave 2 you will see more than 150 statues which is the largest and most impressive one.
Then we will take you to a paradise of elephants the Minneriya National Park for evening safari.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, Sri Dalada Maligawa, Kandy Cultural Show Day tour to Kandy

Visit Pinnawala elephant orphanage; the orphanage was established in 1972 for orphaned elephants from island wide and relocated to current location in 1975. Currently there are 60 of orphaned elephants are living here. In your visit you can see all of their activities; they are bathing on the Ma Oya River at 10.00 am and 2.00 pm and their feeding time is hour before the bathing. You can feed the elephant cute calves as well.
Then we will drive to historical city of Kandy with you; it’ll take 1 hour and you can have your lunch at recommended restaurant in Kandy. Kandy is the second large city in the island and has many ancient things to explore. First we will take you to Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens; which is the largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka and has large number of flora collection.
After that we will take you to Dalada Maligawa (temple of tooth relic) which is the most important visit in this day tour. The Kandy royal palace and the museum is also attached to this; you can explore more about this in your next visit to Kandy with us.
At the finally you can watch Kandy cultural show; that will showcasing you few events of famous Kandy Asala Perahera.
